Lagoa de Albufeira

A Lagoa de Albufeira localiza-se no concelho da Sesimbra, na freguesia do Castelo (Sesimbra). A Lagoa é alimentada pela água doce das ribeiras da Apostiça, Ferraria e Aiana, e pela água salgada do mar, quando o cordão dunar é aberto oficialmente na primavera. É constituída por três lagoas: a Grande, a pequena e a da Estacada.

The Albufeira lagoon is located in the municipality of Sesimbra, in the parish of Castelo (Sesimbra). The Lagoon is fed by freshwater streams of the Apostiça, Ferraria and Aiana, and the salt water of the sea, when the line of sand dunes is officially opened in the spring. It consists of three small lagoons: Grande, Pequena and the Estacada.
